Bringing Spring in with a Bang

“I’m so glad it’s spring, you know? Not sure how much more winter I could take. And seems like everyone around here has this pent up energy that they are finally able to let out now that the weather is warmer.”

“Yeah? What makes you say that?”

“I was on an evening stroll in the park, and they blew up this two-hundred-foot pyrotechnic butterfly.”

“Why?”

“I don’t know, exactly. But it was cool. And then, when the crowd was leaving en masse across the street, there was this car that didn’t stop at the crosswalk–and then this old man attacked it with his umbrella. Might’ve dented it.”

“Sounds kinda crazy.”

“Beating the car? The driver ran a crosswalk. You expect the old man to just bottle up his anger?”

“I mean–”

“–Come on! It’s spring! In Brooklyn! Get into it!”
